Question

With you guys being signed to a labels such as Holy Mountain/Important Records, labels that produces amazing bands, did you guys feel the need to look other places even though they were interested in signing you?

Answer

We are so honored to work with such great labels as Holy Mountain, Roadburn, and Important amongst such impressive rosters.

Question

Other than the obvious influences for the band music wise, does anything influence you guys outside of music?

Answer

Everything is an influence: archetypal life concepts, films, trees, drugs, experiences, wind, owls, demons, crows, the sioux sundance ritual, crazy liquor cheeseburger parties.

Question

As we all know, the west coast has some hidden gems when it comes to the Psychedelic Prog-Doom genre, did you guys find it sort of hard to get fans or people interested in what you guys do either throughout the country or even out of the country?

Answer

Well our band is called LESBIAN, so, according to Facebook we have 65000 fans all over the world.

Question

As much as I love "Power Hor", the pure balls that "Stratospheria Cubensis" has is just overwhelming. Do you guys, as a band, favor one of the other or is it just an equal love thing because you did put so much work into both?

Answer

We embrace our evolution as a band.  We are proud of our entire catalog.  Our favorite record right now is our 3rd full length "Forestelevision" that we will be recording next week.  Expect deeper transcendence.

Question

What comes to mind when you hear these words: Kylesa and Book of Black Earth?

Answer

An amazing show we played with them a while back.  It was a total success!

Question

I know this is a stupid question but after looking around the Facebook page a bit, I learned very quickly that having the band name Lesbian might have it's ups and downs. Have you guys ever thought about changing the name or even regret having it?

Answer

We thought about it once, but we'd never change it now.  It's who we are.  And everyone should be exactly who they are.

Question

Even though "Stratospheria Cubensis" was released last year, is there any talk of working on material for a new album or is all the focus mainly on the latest project Fungal Abyss?

Answer

We enter the studio next week to record our third album "Forestelevision" and we've already recorded our debut Fungal Abyss album "Bardo Abgrund Temple" which is due out in August on Translinguistic Other.  Both bands are very active right now.

Question

If Lesbian broke up at this very moment but you had to chance to join any band in the world, who would it be and why? The band can be broken up, still together, all dead; doesn't matter, any band.

Answer

Benjamin: Far East Family Band - Because they are the best band in outer space.  Dan: Van Halen - So that Eddie could take me under his wing.  Pete: Swarming Hordes - Because they never had a bass player.  Arran: Immortal - Because they need another guitar player and I would get to wear full corpse paint.

Question

Lastly, we've all been wondering and hoping for a good couple months now, is there any talk of a full on tour at any point in time across America or overseas?

Answer

We have several exciting releases planned for the near future.  Once we get out of the studio, we're coming for you...patience is a virtue.
